Pre-employment Screening.
The breakdown of recommended searches are as follows:
The first four searches form the basis of your pre-employment background search:
(1) Address Search which we than use to verify name, aliases, SSN, DOB and address history;
(2) US Patriot Act Search wherein the Federal government requires searches which checks numerous different watch lists and most wanted lists;
(3) Sex Offender, which is a national sex offender search, and;
(4) US Criminal Index Search which is a national criminal index search, which is a good search to identify possible criminal history but often does not provide enough data without further confirmation to be used in a pre employment background. This search often only makes a name match and you cannot legally deny employment only on a name check.
The Criminal Profile search returns criminal data including Federal, State, and some County criminal records, arrest records, warrant records, data from other criminal justice agencies, and data from the international terrorist list for OFAC compliance, charge(s) and sentence.

One of the next two options should be included to perform a thorough criminal background check. This area has some variables as costs are different in different jurisdictions.
Statewide criminal search. This search verifies criminal history by name and SSN or DOB which helps to verify subject. Based on the states you provided this search has different costs. For example Texas state fees are relatively low versus New York which runs as much as twelve times greater.
The other option is to just research criminal history per county. But, there are a lot of variables here. In consultation with you we would need to decide if we should research just the county the applicant currently resides in or in all the counties the applicant has resided in during the previous eight years or some other time variable. Some applicants we do, we check all the counties they have lived and worked in for the last eight years and the amount of counties can vary from a few to six or eight counties. Typically we usually allow for something like three counties but for this proposal be aware that the actual amount of counties may vary depending on the individuals circumstances.
There are a few optional searches that can be added and it just depends on your desires. These searches are typically for clients who want to be thorough or for special reasons. These are:
(1) Motor Vehicle Records Search. This search provides further identification information and also driving history. This is usually a must if the person is going to be driving in course of employment. Some states do not release the information while those states that do have a different cost;
(2) Civil Court History per county.
(3) Bankruptcies, Tax Liens & Judgments.
We will perform the service and then we will compile the report in a finished product to be delivered.
